Mr. V. S. Kumbhar

Mr. Vikas Sampatrao Kumbhar is a dedicated Civil Engineering academician, researcher, and administrator with over 22 years of professional experience in engineering education, academic leadership, and technical administration. He is currently serving as a Lecturer at Sanjay Ghodawat Polytechnic, Atigre, and is submitted a Ph.D. thesis in Civil Engineering at Shivaji University, Kolhapur. His doctoral research focuses on "Application of Hydrological Model for Watershed Management of Water Scarce Area of Agrani River Basin Using GIS and Remote Sensing." Throughout his career, he has held several key leadership positions, including Head of Department, Academic Dean, Vice Principal, and In-Charge Principal, demonstrating expertise in academic administration, NBA accreditation, curriculum planning, examination management, and institutional quality assurance. He has actively contributed to MSBTE as Chief Officer In-Charge, Controller of Examinations, Paper Setter, Examination Squad Member, and External Monitoring Committee Member. Mr. Kumbhar holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and has published research papers in national and international journals and conferences, particularly in the areas of hydrological modelling, GIS, remote sensing, watershed management, and sustainable water resources. He has also developed educational resources, including student handbooks, PowerPoint presentations, online MCQs, and technical study materials for Civil Engineering diploma students. Recognized for his leadership, teamwork, and commitment to academic excellence, he continues to contribute significantly to engineering education, research, and institutional development.
